Primary 5 student positive for Covid-19, SJKC Ting Sing closes for 3 days

SIBU, April 14: SJKC Ting Sing at Sg Bidut, Sibu is closed from today (April 14) until Friday (April 16) after a positive Covid-19 case involving one of its Primary 5 students.

As a precaution, all Primary Five students will be quarantined for 14 days and continue their learning through online lessons.

In a notice announcing the closure issued to parents today, the school explained that the school is closed for sanitisation purposes.

“This is to notify that a student from Primary Five has tested positive for Covid-19. Because of this, SJKC Ting Sing, Sibu will be closed to three days from April 14, 2021 (Wednesday) to April 16, 2021 (Friday) for sanitisation.

“All students will continue their learning from home from 7.30am to 12.50pm according to the schedule issued by the school.

“Due to the case, all Primary Five students will go through a 14-day quarantine and online lessons from home,” said the notice.

Meanwhile, students from other classes are required to return to school on April 19, 2021 according to a prior schedule set by school authorities. — DayakDaily
