KUCHING, Sept 3: The Sarawak Premier’s wife Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang presented monetary and food donations to victims of the recent Rancangan Perumahan Rakyat (RPR) Batu Kawa fire.
According to a news report from Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) today, Juma’ani, who is also Association of Wives of Ministers and Deputy Ministers of Sarawak (Sabati) president handed over the donations when visiting the victims who are taking temporary shelter at the RPR Batu Kawa Community Hall.
She also took the opportunity to spend time and chat with some of the victims, before visiting the houses that were damaged in the fire on August 28.
It is understood that the victims involved also received donations in the form of dry food and clothes from the residents of Kampung Gita.
Also present were Deputy Sarawak Premier Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian, who is also Batu Kawah assemblyman, together with his wife Datin Sri Enn Ong Siok Ean, Padawan Municipal Council (MPP) chairman Tan Kai and other guests. — DayakDaily
