SIBU, April 13: Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and wife Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tuanku Bujang maintained the tradition of visiting for Hari Raya Aidilfitri by making a trip to Sibu today.
In a news report by Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), their first stop, upon arrival in Sibu late morning, was at the residence of Deputy Minister of Education and Innovation, Datuk Dr Annuar Rapaee and his family.
Accompanying the Premier on the visit were Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Dato Sri Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah and political secretary to Premier Fazzrudin Abdul Rahman.
In the afternoon, Abang Johari paid visits to the residence of former Igan member of Parliament (MP) Datuk Abdul Wahab Dollah and then to Sibu Division community leader Temenggong Datuk Wan Hamid Edruce Tunaku Mohamad.
Tonight, the Premier is scheduled to officiate the Hari Raya Aidilfitri ceremony for the Sibu Division, which will be held at the University of Technology Sarawak (UTS). — DayakDaily
