KUCHING, March 14: Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg received a courtesy visit from the newly appointed Sarawak Health Department director Dr Veronica Lugah, at his office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia here, today.
According to a news report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), accompanying Dr Veronica were her deputy director for management Banges Mungadan, and deputy director for public health Dr Rohani Mat Bah.
It is understood that during the approximately 30-minute visit, Abang Johari congratulated Dr Veronica on her new appointment.
For the record, Dr Veronica assumed the position replacing Dr Ooi Choo Huck with effect from Feb 7.
Previously, she was the acting State Health director following the mandatory retirement of Dr Ooi, who had held the position since March 1, 2022. — DayakDaily
