KUCHING, Nov 26: Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has called on the Association of Wives of Ministers and Assistant Ministers of Sarawak (Sabati) to utilise digital technology in Wisma Sabati.
He suggested using e-wallets and Internet services in the administration and information management of the new building.
āNow, SPayGlobal, which has become the leading platform for business and transaction of the State government and private sector, Sabati can use it in the management of the cafeteria or the gallery.
āMaybe I can also suggest preparing a WiFi room because now Sarawak provides WiFi through Very Small Aperture Terminal (VSAT).
āI am confident and believe that strong cooperation between Sabati members will facilitate all efforts in moving holistic charity aid not only within our State but also to Peninsular Malaysia,ā he said when speaking at the opening ceremony of Wisma Sabati and Sabatiās 40th Anniversary celebration held at Wisma Sabati building in Jalan Diplomatik here earlier tonight.
The ceremony was officiated by Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sarawak Tun Pehin Sri Abdul Taib Mahmud and wife Toh Puan Datuk Patinggi Raghad Kurdi Taib.
The new building has a multi-purpose hall for functions with up to 500 guests, which can also accommodate four badminton courts and an auditorium with seating for 270 people.
Amongst those present were the Premierās wife Puan Sri Datuk Amar Jumaani Tuanku Bujang who is also the Sabati president; Deputy Premiers Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas and wife Datin Amar Doreen Mayang, Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan and wife Datin Amar Dayang Morliah Awang Daud, and Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian and wife Datin Sri Enn Ong; Sarawak Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki and wife Datin Amar Baduyah Bujang; as well as former Sabati president Datuk Amar Jamilah Anu. ā DayakDaily
