Premier spends morning with Miri community at Taman Bulatan brisk walk programme

KUCHING, Apr 25: Despite his busy schedule, Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg took time out for a brisk walk with the people, held in conjunction with the Miri-level Sarawakku Sayang 2026 programme at Taman Bulatan Miri today.

In a report by the Sarawak Public Communication Unit (Ukas), participants flooded the venue from as early as 6am, reflecting an encouraging response towards the government’s efforts to strengthening ties with the people.

The programme started with an aerobics session, which the Premier joined, followed by a brisk walk around the park. In addition to promoting a healthy lifestyle, the programme also allowed the Premier to spend some time with the people.

Also present were Minister for Food Industry, Commodity, and Regional Development and Kemena assemblyman, Dato Sri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom; Sarawak Transport Minister and Senadin assemblyman, Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin; Sarawak Secretary, Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki; Miri Resident, Galong Luang; deputy ministers, heads of departments, and other guests. — DayakDaily
