KUCHING, Oct 27: Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg hands over the State flag to the Sarawak contingent competing in the 20th Para Sukma (Malaysia Games) this November.
The handover ceremony was held today at the Premier’s Office at the Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) building in Petra Jaya.
Among those present during the ceremony were Women, Childhood and Community Wellbeing Development Minister Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah and her deputy Datuk Rosey Yunus, together with the ministry’s permanent secretary Datu Dr Rashidah Bolhassan and Sarawak Social Welfare Department director Noriah Ahmad.
Led by its Chef de Mission Mohamad Razi Sitam, the Sarawak Para Sukma contingent aims to defend its title as the overall Champion since 1994 for the 14th time with 64-gold medal target.
A total of 314 Sarawakian Para Sukma athletes will be competing in the six-day event, which will be held Kuala Lumpur. — DayakDaily
