KUCHING, July 14: Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has announced a one-and-a-half-month bonus for all the staff of Bintulu Development Authority (BDA).
Abang Johari said the bonus is to acknowledge the hard work and significant contributions made by all BDA staff, which have greatly contributed to the success and exceptional development of Bintulu.
“Together with BDA Board of Directors, we want to express our heartfelt thanks to the entire team of BDA with one-and-a-half-months bonus for all.
“I hope with this bonus, the revenue of BDA will continue to increase to enable further bonuses to be given in the future,” he said when officiating at BDA’s 45th anniversary celebration dinner at a hotel in Bintulu which was streamed live through Ukas tonight.
Abang Johari, who is also BDA chairman, noted that since its establishment in 1978, BDA has step-by-step transformed the entire landscape of Bintulu, earning it the reputation of being a progressive industrial city in Malaysia.
“Let’s together celebrate the 45 years of BDA and 60 years independence of Sarawak in Malaysia by working together to ensure Sarawak’s continuous progress and harmonious development in the years to come,” he called on.
