KUCHING, April 26: Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg and his wife, Puan Sri Datuk Amar Juma’ani Tun Tuanku Bujang continued with their Hari Raya Aidilfitri open house tour in Miri today.
According to a news report published by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), Abang Johari and his wife began their Aidilfitri visiting in Miri on 5 Syawal by visiting Sarawak Deputy Minister of Youth, Sports, and Entrepreneur Development Dr Ripin Lamat’s Aidilfitri open house.
The Premier and his wife were welcomed with a traditional dance performance upon arrival at the open house around 11am.
Also present at Dr Ripin’s Aidilfitri open house were Sarawak Transport Minister Dato Sri Lee Kim Shin, Sarawak Utilities and Telecommunications Minister Datuk Julaihi Narawi, Sarawak State Secretary Datuk Amar Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki, Sarawak Deputy Minister of Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew, Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau, Pujut assemblyman and Miri City Council (MCC) Mayor Adam Yii Siew Sang, and other dignitaries.
Following that, Abang Johari and his wife visited Sarawak Deputy Minister of Women, Childhood, and Community Wellbeing Development Datuk Rosey Yunus’ Aidilfitri open house.
They were greeted upon arrival at around 12 noon by Rosey, and also welcomed with a traditional dance and drum performance.
Also present at Rosey’s Aidilfitri open house were Lee, Julaihi, Abu Bakar, Ting, Deputy Minister in the Sarawak Premier’s Department (Labour, Immigration, and Project Monitoring) Datuk Gerawat Gala, Dennis, Yii, Miri Division Resident Jamalie Busri, and other guests.
Abang Johari and his wife then proceeded to the respective Aidilfitri open houses hosted by Dato Usop Sani Wahab, Temenggong Datuk Abdul Rahman Fadzil, and Federal Deputy Health Minister Lukanisman Awang Sauni. — DayakDaily
