SINGAPORE, Oct 20: Premier of Sarawak Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg arrived in Singapore today for an official two-day working visit.
According to a report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas), the main agenda of this visit includes several important meetings, focusing on discussions regarding investments in green energy and sustainable technology development.
On Monday (Oct 21), Abang Johari is scheduled to participate in an interview with Consumer News and Business Channel (CNBC), which will be broadcast live.
He is also scheduled to deliver a keynote address at Singapore Energy Summit, part of Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW), which will bring together global leaders and energy experts to discuss key innovations in the energy sector.
Following this, Abang Johari will meet with Scotland’s Minister for Business, Richard Lochhead.
In a series of subsequent meetings, he will also engage with Brunei Darussalam’s Deputy Minister (Energy) at the Prime Minister’s Office, Dato Seri Paduka Awang Mohamad Azmi Mohd Hanifah, as well as Singapore’s Senior Minister Teo Chee Hean and Minister of Education Chan Chu Sing.
The working visit will continue on Tuesday (Oct 22) with a meeting with Singtel Group to discuss potential collaborations in telecommunications and the development of digital infrastructure in Sarawak.
Before concluding the visit, Abang Johari will tour the SJ Campus Cleantech Loop, a clean technology hub showcasing innovations in sustainable energy and green solutions. — DayakDaily
