KUCHING, Nov 29: Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has announced a two-month special incentive payment for all Sarawak public civil servants.
The payment will be made before the end of this year, he said when delivering his ministerial winding-up speech at the Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) sitting here today.
He also announced that some 130,000 federal civil servants working in Sarawak will be given a one-off bonus of RM600 each.
Abang Johari, who oversees the ministries for Finance and New Economy, Natural Resources and Urban Development, and Energy and Environmental Sustainability, said these bonuses are estimated to amount up to RM250 million.
