Pregnant women, breastfeeding moms can now update their MySejahtera app with health status

The MySejahtera app has included a health assessment feature for pregnant and lactating mothers.

KUCHING, June 2: Pregnant women or breastfeeding mothers can now update their information using the MySejahtera app for Covid-19 vaccination purposes.

The Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee (JKJAV) announced today in its Facebook page that MySejahtera app has rolled out a feature that provides a new option to identify pregnant and lactating mothers for vaccination consideration purposes.

This will allow health authorities to select the most appropriate Covid-19 vaccines for them.


“It is important that you update your pregnancy and breastfeeding status so that you can receive a vaccination appointment based on the vaccine that is suitable for you,” the statement added.

The additional features allows mothers to enter their expected month and year of delivery or their breastfeeding status.

Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Khairy Jamaluddin on Twitter said recipient’s appointments will be based on the vaccine that is suitable for them.

Khairy, who is also the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (NIP) coordinating minister said on May 24 that although pregnant and breastfeeding mothers have been advised to consult their doctors before going for vaccination, a guideline to suggest vaccination be given within 14 and 33 weeks of pregnancy has also been issued. — DayakDaily
