SIBU, Oct 18: A seven-month pregnant woman had to endure a harrowing ordeal, when her house almost collapse after being hit by a barge in Kampung Hilir, here.
The morning incident happened when a barge was trying to manoeuvre through the river and made contact with the house, which was situated at the riverside.
Based on the information received, the pregnant lady was taking a bath at her home when the incident occurred. The victim managed to escape safely after hearing the public calling her to get out from the house.
Due to the collision, some part of the walls in the living room were badly damaged. No injuries were reported.
The victim lodged a report at the Sibu police station. — DayakDaily
