A booze party ends half-way as police-MCO team arrive.

SIBU, Feb 10: Four men were having a jolly good time enjoying bottles of Guinness Stout at a coffee shop at Jalan Kampung Nyabor.

When a police MCO Task Force team suddenly showed up, all four who had not yet bottoms-up their drink, tried to run-off but one of them was caught.

Sibu district police chief, ACP Stanely Jonathan Ringgit said the team led by Sibu Crime Prevention and Community Safety Division (JPJKK) DSP Ariffin Bahar Siin went to the coffee shop at 12.50pm after receiving a tip-off from a member of the public.

“When the team arrived, three of them ran away while another one was caught,” he said.

The customer, 32, together with the operator of the coffeeshop, aged 72, he said was also fined RM1,000 for letting his customers drink in his shop, a violation of MCO. -DayakDaily
