Police to manage crowd control at BSN during BPN, BKSS collection

KUCHING, Apr 18: More police officers will be deployed at Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) Kota Samarahan Branch during the payout of the Bantuan Prihation Nasional (BPN) and Bantuan Khas Sarawakku Sayang (BKSS) which started on Apr 17, 2020.

“Action will be taken by the police and also the bank officers in social distancing during the event,” Kota Samarahan district police chief DSP Lee Chong Chern said during the press conference at Kota Samarahan Police Station on Thursday afternoon.


“A path will be set especially for the public to enter the bank to withdraw the BPN and BKSS aid,” Lee added.

According to Lee, customers for BPN and BKSS withdrawal are to stand on the left side while thosr who wish to use the Auto Teller Machine (ATM) are to stand on the right side at the bank entrance.

“Auxiliary Police will be stationed at the bank entrance to check the public’s temperature before entering the bank and hand sanitizers will be prepared too,” Lee said.

He pointed out that police on duty at the bank need will be ensuring that the public practice social distancing amongst each other and that masks are worn at all times. —DayakDaily
