Police seize drugs worth RM57k in Miri raid

MIRI, March 23: The Narcotics Crime Investigation Department of the Sarawak Contingent Police Headquarters (IPK) Sarawak have seized four types of drugs with an estimated street value of RM57,554.17 during a recent raid in Miri.

The raid, conducted at an entertainment outlet in Miri around 9pm on Thursday (March 21), resulted in the detention of three foreign men suspected of involvement in the illegal drug trade, Miri OCPD ACP Alexson Naga Chabu said in a statement today.

The drugs seized during the operation included a significant quantity of ecstasy, erimin 5, ketamine, and mushrooms weighing a total of 4,313.60 grammes.


The suspects are currently in custody and will be facing charges related to drug possession and distribution.

The case is being investigated under Section 39B, Section 39A(2), Section 39A(2), and Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. — DayakDaily
