Police nab three, seize drugs worth RM2,000 in raid

MIRI, Nov 14: Drugs estimated to be worth around RM2,000 were seized following a raid on a house in Niah conducted by a team from Miri Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on Wednesday morning (Nov 14).

During the raid, the police nabbed a local man, 20, and two Indonesians, both aged 40.


Miri police chief, ACP Lim Meng Seah, in a press statement disclosed the CID personnel were forced to break down the main door of the house as the suspects refused to cooperate.

During the raid, the CID team also seized four transparent plastic packets containing a substance suspected to be methamphetamine drugs weighing 11.70 grammes.

The suspects are currently being detained under police custody for questioning under Section 39 A (1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952. — DayakDaily
