Police looking for 2 Indonesians to assist in murder case

BETONG, Dec 21: Betong district police are seeking assistance from the public to be on the look out for two Indonesian men to assist in a murder case in Ulu Layar.

The police, in a statement today, said one of the individual is identified as “Ee”, in his mid 30s, and has a thin and tall figure in stature.

Another suspect, who is small in stature, has been identified as “Oni”, who is in his 20s.


The public are advised to come forward to the nearest police station or to call Inspector Chew at 017-9682819, if they have any information regarding the two suspects.

The second suspect identified as Oni.

On Dec 17, Sarawak Police Commissioner Datuk Ramli Din revealed that a local man was killed, while another person suffered injuries after they were attacked in a rubber plantation in Ulu Layar, Betong, by two men believed to be of Indonesian nationality.

Ramli however said he was convinced that the incident was not motivated by robbery, because the victims’ belonging and cash amounting to RM14,800 were untouched during the incident. — DayakDaily
