Police: Body found floating in Senadin lake raises homicide suspicions

MIRI, April 17: The body of a man was discovered floating in a lake in Senadin this morning, prompting suspicions of homicide.

A member of the public, who was collecting rubbish in the area around 9.45am, spotted the lifeless body and promptly alerted the authorities.

Emergency services, including firefighters, swiftly responded to the reports from concerned citizens.


Firefighters from Lutong fire station, led by its chief PBT II Henry Jugah, assisted in retrieving the body from the lake.

Police have cordoned off the area and initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.

The victim has been identified as a 57-year-old local man.

Preliminary investigations at the scene indicate signs that suggest a potential homicide rather than a natural death. — DayakDaily
