KUCHING, Sept 17: Prime Minister Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim wants Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg to extend his kuliah (lecture) to all elected representatives and heads of governments.
Abang Johari stated that at a special Federal Cabinet meeting held yesterday at Wisma Bapa Malaysia, he was asked to brief the ministers on the developments in the State.
“Before the meeting began, the Prime Minister requested 30 minutes of my time to teach them how we live and how we develop Sarawak, particularly in the new economy.
“The hydrogen economy is new to them, the green economy is also new to them, so yesterday I became a teacher to teach the Federal Cabinet.
“You know what happened, he used the word kuliah in Malay. Kuliah means lecture. Now he wants me to give a talk again to all the YBs, MPs, and CMs on the new economy that Sarawak has adopted. Sekarang dia ikut kita. Kita tidak ikut dia. (Now they follow us. We don’t follow them.) We are very humble,” he said during Sarawak Central Chiang Hsia Huang Clan Association’s 63rd anniversary event which was livestreamed by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (Ukas) on Facebook earlier tonight.
