KUCHING, March 16: Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin is expected to outline the government’s measures to address the Covid-19 outbreak at this evening.
National English daily The Star reported Muhyiddin as saying that he is aware of the people’s concern after the drastic spike in number of positive cases.
“I will be on air tonight to explain to Malaysians how we are going to manage this,” he told a press conference after chairing the first Economic Action Council Meeting in Putrajaya.
When asked if the government would impose a lockdown, Muhyiddin said: “Just wait for the announcement. Please be patient.”
He will explain to the nation how the government will manage the outbreak, on air via Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) after chairing a special meeting at 8pm that will be attended by ministers and agencies involved. — DayakDaily
