KUCHING, Sept 26: Payments for ‘Bantuan Prihatin Rakyat (BPR) Keluarga Malaysia Fasa 3′ and BPR appeal applications will be credited into recipients’ accounts in phases starting Sept 28 until Sept 30.
Prime Minister Dato Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob in a statement today, said the disbursement will benefit 3.6 million recipients under the household category, and includes the BPR appeal application, which involved an allocation of RM2.82 billion.
“For Phase 3, each recipient will received up to RM1,400, while those under the BPR appeal application will be receiving up to RM2,300, including an additional BPR payment under Pemerkasa Plus, worth up to RM500 for each recipient, depending on the respective eligibility category based on marital status, total household income and number of children,” he said.
According to the Prime Minister, the Phase 3 payment distributes the full balance that should be received by BPR recipients, as well as BPR appeal applications.
He said the government remains committed in ensuring the well-being of ‘Keluarga Malaysia’, especially the groups affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
He also pointed out that other cash assistance such as the Special Covid-19 aid (BKC) and Loss of Income Aid (BKP) will also be given to eligible recipients, and payment is scheduled to be disbursed starting October until December this year.
“The Ministry of Finance (MOF) will come out with further information and details regarding the Phase 3 of the BPR payment.
“’Keluarga Malaysia’ can refer to the frequently asked question (FAQ) section on the BPR official portal at https://bpr.hasil.gov.my,” he added. — DayakDaily
