KUCHING, April 11: Civil servants’ April salaries and Bantuan Khas Kewangan Aidilfitri or Aidilfitri Special Aid (BKKA) worth RM700 would be disbursed by April 14, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
According to a video posted by The Star on Facebook, Anwar told the press that the government has decided to bring forward the payment three days earlier from its original disbursement date on April 17, taking into account those who are preparing for the Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration.
“Today, I visited Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) Meru Raya branch (in Perak) to inspect the payment process.
“We used BSN bank because they have more branches and make it easier for the people to receive the cash aid,” he said after attending a function at the bank yesterday (April 10).
During the tabling of Budget 2023 in February, Anwar said all civil servants, Grade 56 and below, who are still serving until April 17, 2023, including 87 contract appointments, will receive RM700, while pensioners will receive RM350. — DayakDaily
