SIBU, Dec 6: A plantation supervisor was killed when the car he was driving lost control and turned turtle in the road side drain at Jalan Sungai Sadit early this morning.
Sibu district police chief ACP Stanley Jonathan Ringgit said the victim, identified as Alfred Lee Yao Ren, 22, from Sungai Sadit was going to Sungai Sadit at about 12.05am when the accident occurred.
“After he had lost control of the vehicle, it rammed into a telecommunication pole before it turned turtle in the side drain,” he said.
Firemen from the Sungai Merah fire station rushed to the scene to help the victim out from the car.
However he was pronounced dead by paramedics from Sibu Hospital.
The case is being investigated the case under Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act 1987. — DayakDaily
