KUCHING, July 18: The Women’s wing of Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Sarawak is already moving on the ground in preparation for the next state polls, which is due in 2021.

Its information chief, Athina Sim, said the Women’s wing had been busy lately activating its grassroots members and recruiting new members.

Last week, for instance, a group of them visited Kampung Seberang in Sebuyau and Kampung Sageng in Simunjan.

“Headed by our chief, Nurhanim Hanna Mokhsen, we conducted meet-and-greet sessions with the villagers. We also took the opportunity to share with them that the Pakatan Harapan (PH) government is working hard to ensure its manifesto is fulfilled,” Sim said in a statement today.

Nurhanim, she added, had also encouraged the people to come forward to contribute towards nation building with PKR.

“Stop sitting at the side and watching or complaining. Let’s come together and be the change we wish to see for our people and for our future generation. It is no longer impossible as we are with ‘Malaysia Baru’ today,” Nurhanim said.

Nurhanim said the Women’s wing had always believed in change and that change does not come overnight.

“Women alone cannot bring change. PKR alone cannot bring change. But together, without differentiating our skin colours, backgrounds, religion and belief, we, as one, can bring change,” she emphasised. — DayakDaily
