KUCHING, May 30: Sarawak Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) denies having anything to do with a video allegedly insulting the Yang-di-Pertuan Agong and leaders of the Sarawak government, says its information chief Abun Sui Anyit.

Abun Sui in a press statement today said Sarawak PKR’s leaders take note of two YouTube videos uploaded by Iswardy Morni allegedly insulting the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and leaders of the Sarawak Government.

“Keadilan (PKR) Sarawak at any material time, has never authorized Iswardy Morni to speak on behalf of Keadilan Sarawak or any hierarchy under it. Therefore, his statements on social media are only on behalf of his own like other Malaysians,” he said.

He added as the content of these videos is under police investigation, Sarawak PKR has no statements to issue related to the matter to avoid interfering with the investigation conducted by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM).

In the same statement, Abun Sui pointed out that it is inappropriate for Muara Tuang assemblyman Dato Idris Buang, to drag PKR and Pakatan Harapan (PH) into the issues raised by Iswardy against him and Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg.

He said Sarawak PKR is of the opinion that it is wrong for Gabungan Parti Sarawak to continue to support the Perikatan Nasional (PN) government as it lacks legitimacy and is a government without the people’s mandate.

He said Sarawak PKR also vehemently denied Idris’s allegations that PKR is supported by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) because the allegations are reckless and baseless.

“Datuk Idris Buang must not divert from the failures of the Sarawak State government and the back door government to contain the Covid–19 pandemic by dragging PKR and Pakatan Harapan into your personal problems and GPS with Iswardy Morni,” he added. — DayakDaily
