MIRI, Jan 26: Two underprivileged pupils here received new school uniforms, shoes, stationery and other necessities this morning, thanks to Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Women’s wing here.
The recipients are Natassia Wilson Ghani, 12, and Indraputra Yunus, 10. Both are pupils of St Columba primary school here.
The aid is from the party’s `Sejuta Kasih’ programme.
PKR Women chief here, Korina Mang, led several of her members to Natassia’s run-down house at Hilltop first. Natassia is living with her grandparents.
The entourage then went to Indraputra’s house, which sits on a hillslope near his school.
Korina said PKR Women here would continue to help underprivileged members of the community.
“We hope others will also come forward to help disadvantaged folk,” she said. — DayakDaily
