KUCHING, Aug 31: Senator Abun Sui Anyit calls on all Malaysians to set aside differences over the country’s history and to celebrate National Day together.
In a statement, he said it cannot be denied that the country has a unique history where Malaya achieved independence on August 31, 1957, and Malaysia was formed on September 16, 1963.
Abun Sui, who also is Parti Keadilan Rakyat (Keadilan) Sarawak deputy chairman, opined that these differences haunt the country almost every year.
“Let us build this country through the determination of unity to fulfill our hope to be better.Together, let us bring our country on the right track and get respected,” said Abun Sui. — DayakDaily
