KUCHING, April 4: Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s appointment as the 10th Malaysian Prime Minister in a situation where no coalition won with a large enough majority to form the federal government shows that the country will be led inclusively.

This was said by Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Sarawak deputy chairman Senator Abun Sui Anyit in a media statement today in conjunction with the party’s 24th anniversary.

“I firmly believe that the appointment of Anwar as the 10th Prime Minister (PMX) in a situation where no party or coalition wins the majority is a provision of God so that this country is led inclusively by PMX.

“This is so that PMX brings together all citizens to restore Malaysia on the right track.

“Indeed, our success today is thanks to the support of everyone where Pakatan Harapan is part of the Unity Government recommended by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong,” he said.

He said as PKR members, they should give their support to Anwar who is also the PKR president so that Malaysia is led smoothly in the concept of Malaysia Madani.

“Finally, thank you to all party members who are loyal and support the party wholeheartedly. You are a fighter like a candle burning yourself for the good of your beloved country.

“God willing, Malaysia will be better under the leadership of Anwar Ibrahim,” he said.

In last year’s 15th General Election (GE15), no coalition could secure a simple majority to form the next federal government, leading to a hung Parliament that lasted for a couple of days. — DayakDaily
