The political party said they will also draft and implement a new policy for women welfare in Sarawak.

“Realistic moves to be taken for the eradicaction of discrimination against women.

“A new women welfare agenda should include giving assistance to women attaining a bigger percentage of participation in various fields of the economy to at least 30 per cent,” it said.

Apart from that, other resolutions which the party has passed include creating more employment opportunities to alleviate youth unemployment in Sarawak, investing extra efforts to ensure basic infrastructure in the community and requiring officials of local councils including the municipal council chairman and councillors to fulfil their obligations of serving the people.

Furthermore, the party said it will provide stringent controls over prices of essential goods aimed at lessening the burdens of families of low and medium income groups in Sarawak and fully support party president Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim as the next prime minister of Malaysia.  — DayakDaily
