KUCHING, Jan 30: The Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) Kuching division has announced its intention to invite Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to its activities organised in Sarawak.
Its chairman, Dominique Ng Kim Ho, said this includes events organised with other local parties, non-governmental organisations (NGOs), and Chinese communities in the State.
He explained the invitation was to give the prime minister a chance to understand better the difficulties and problems locals face, which would then provide an effective way of solving them.
Ng said this when attending a Chinese New Year Gathering event organised by PKR Kuching and Stampin divisions today.
He said the prime minister’s first visit to Sarawak was before Chinese New Year, which is an official event upon the invitation of the Sarawak government.
However, he added the prime minister has been busy with activities recently, namely with the budget, the party’s national conference, and upcoming state elections, and it would take some time to arrange for his next trip to Sarawak. — DayakDaily
