PH’s downfall caused by lack of unity, vision, says Bawang Assan SUPP chief

SIBU, March 1: The former Pakatan Harapan (PH) government’s lack of unity with a common vision led to the current political dilemma assailing the nation, opines Bawang Assan SUPP chairman Robert Lau Hui Yew.

Acording to Lau in a statement today, the PH manifesto for the 14th General Election was a ploy to win the election.

“(But) Tun Dr Mahathir (Mohamad), the then PM, had declared it was not a Bible and when it was drawn up they did not believe in them. The only thing that united them is the common enemy, Najib (former Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak) and the desire to dethrone him,” he alleged.

However, when the common goal of dethroning Najib was achieved, individual parties resumed their respective ‘narrow’ agendas and the situation disintegrated further with certain MPs jostling for positions, and even for the prime ministership.

“It is mind-boggling to see so many MPs turning to become political frogs, switching alliance every other day and a few even by the hour. I wonder what is their thought process when making their leap. I ask they at least spell it out so that those who have voted for them know whether this MP of theirs deserve their support the next round,” Lau asserted. — DayakDaily
