KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 2: Philip Morris Malaysia (PMM) celebrates the tenth anniversary of I-Quit-Ordinary-Smoking (IQOS) with the IQOS Together X event in Kuala Lumpur last Thursday (Nov 28).
According to a press statement by PMM, this milestone celebrated the global community of more than 30 million adult smokers who have switched from traditional cigarettes to IQOS, the world’s leading tobacco heating system.
As part of the global initiative, PMM, an affiliate of Philip Morris International (PMI), emphasised its commitment to offering better alternatives for adult smokers who choose not to quit.
The company is focused on reducing the prevalence of smoking, with over 72 per cent of IQOS users having completely switched from cigarettes.
“Our priority is to create a smoke-free Malaysia. In order to achieve our goal, we know that better alternatives are needed for adult smokers who do not quit to make an informed choice rather than continuing to smoke cigarettes.
“We (PMM) applaud the choice these adult smokers have made, leaving cigarettes behind and switching to a better alternative,” said the managing director of PMM, Naeem Sahab Khan.
The event in Kuala Lumpur marked the culmination of a seven-month global campaign, highlighting the power of choice in driving public health progress.
The event also spotlighted a partnership with Grammy-nominated DJ Steve Aoki as he aligned his passion for music and innovation with IQOS’ vision for a smoke-free world.
Aoki, who collaborated on a limited-edition IQOS series, expressed his admiration for the brand’s progressive approach. The exclusive limited-edition series is now available in Malaysia through IQOS-authorised stores and online.
With IQOS marking its 10th year, PMM continues to advocate for healthier, smoke-free alternatives while celebrating the informed choices of millions around the world. — DayakDaily
