KUCHING, Feb 22: Deputy Minister for Energy and Environmental Sustainability (Meesty) Dr Hazland Abang Hipni attended a Petroliam Nasional Berhad (Petronas) corporate briefing at Wisma Naim on Monday (Feb 20).
According to a press release from Meesty, the Petronas team, led by vice president and chief sustainability officer Charlotte Wolff-Bye, shared the Petronas Sustainability Roadmap and efforts to decarbonise the organisation, particularly its sustainability activities in Sarawak.
Petronas’ activities in Sarawak include new exploration fields, decarbonisation of operations, GHG quantification, and future technology development.
Dr Hazland thanked the Petronas team for the briefing, and expressed a desire for more open dialogue and sharing between the Sarawak government and Petronas. — DayakDaily
