KUCHING, March 31: In the spirit of Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS) Sarawak distributed donations to 107 asnaf (those who are in need) in Limbang as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.
According to TVS, PETRONAS Executive of Stakeholder Management for the Sabah-Sarawak Gas Pipeline (SSGP), John Fery Jame, said that the programme is among the company’s ongoing commitments to bring cheer and share happiness this festive season.
“This is the second year we are distributing Aidilfitri contributions to asnaf in Limbang through collaboration with the P.221 Limbang representative centre and Tabung Baitulmal Sarawak (TBS).
“These contributions aim to bring happiness and cheer, as well as ease the burden of the asnaf in celebrating Aidilfitri,” he said to the media today.
He added that the donation handover provides an opportunity to share the festive joy while strengthening relationships with the community in Limbang.
“PETRONAS Sarawak is always committed to engaging with and contributing to the welfare of the community, especially during festive seasons,” he stated.
