KUCHING, Dec 15: Petra Jaya Hospital currently in the equipment transition phase following its steady physical progress, says Deputy Prime Minister Dato Sri Fadillah Yusof.
Fadillah, who is also Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA), said the hospital’s construction progress is on schedule.
“The hospital involved two things which are physical and component (equipment), and there is also operation.
“So, in order to start the operation, it also depends on the specialists, number of doctors and many others,” he said during a press conference after a site visit to SMK Kota Samarahan today.
On Nov 16, Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad reported that the hospital project had surpassed 80 per cent completion, with operations expected to commence in the third quarter of 2025. –DayakDaily
