SPAOH, April 16: Persatuan Kemajuan Melayu Saribas (Perkemas) Spaoh branch is inviting all members to attend its second Annual General Meeting (AGM) on April 21.
Its chairman, Mohamad Isa Johari, said the meeting would be held at Desa Gerakan Spaoh Village Office at 9am.
“I urge all members of Spaoh branches who are located around Bungin, Serembang, Mangut, Medang, Supa, Balingan, Tanjung Assam, Sebemban, Buda and Spaoh to be present.
“The meeting is aimed at electing new committee members for the 2019–2021 session,” he said in a statement.
Mohamad Isa said Perkemas Spaoh was three years old and had over 300 members.
He advised residents around the district to register as members to enjoy the many benefits that come with the membership, including group insurance and study incentives for their children who excel in their studies.
“Perkemas’ mission is to create a quality and knowledgeable Malay society through the emphasis on lifelong learning in terms of religious, academic and social education,” he said.
“We will also work with the relevant authorities to assist members’ children who cannot continue learning due to financial constraints.” — DayakDaily
