Pending door-to-door vaccination for the bedridden, OKUs successfully inoculate 65 so far

KUCHING, Aug 13: The door-to-door mobile vaccination programme in Pending area has successfully administered full double doses to 65 individuals who are bedridden or with special needs (OKUs) as of today.

Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Youth secretary-general Milton Foo said there are only three individuals left who are awaiting their second doses due to the quarantine order.

For the success of this programme, Foo expressed thanks to Dr Hearsley Matthew, who approached him and provided the name lists and offered the help of her medical colleagues from Klinik Kesihatan Tanah Puteh (KKTP) for the vaccination arrangements.


“I would also like to extend my appreciation to all community leaders in Pending area for collaborating and assisting me in coming up with the list of bedridden/OKU (individuals) in their respective areas of Pending constituency.

“They are Penghulu Tan Tuan Woo of Kawasan Kenyalang and Penghulu Tan Heng Kee of Kawasan Foochow, Kapitan Tang Teck Ping of Kenyalang Park, Kapitan Chung Chong of Taman Riverview, Kapitan Tan Chok Ling and Kapitan Tan Teck Ming of Bintawa Village, Kapitan Liew Chze Leong and Kapitan Liew Thian Kim of Sg Apong, Kapitan Daisy Chan Siok Choon Siok of Chawan Road, Kapitan Toh Ngieng Seah of Three Hills Park, Kapitan Fang Jee Fah of Pending Height, and Kapitan Phang Kit Seng of Jalan Foochow,” he said in a statement today.

Foo added that he and the other community leaders of Pending would continue to serve and fight against Covid-19 together to achieve herd immunity the soonest possible especially in the light of the emergence of the Delta variants. — DayakDaily
