Pekan Sebangan, Kg Lutong, Kg Menek in Sebuyau to undergo EMCO until Sept 14

KUCHING, Aug 31: Pekan Sebangan, Kampung Lutong and Kampung Menek in Sebuyau, Samarahan will be placed under the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) from tomorrow (Sept 1) until Sept 14.

The State Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) in a statement today announced that the two villages and the town were viewed as one single locality.

The locality was among six new areas placed under the EMCO.

The other five were Rh Renga Layang, Sungai Senggam, Jalan Sebungan in Sebauh (Aug 30 to Sept 12); Rh Ugop Umpin, Nanga Sigu, Pandan in Sebauh (Aug 30 to Sept 12); Rh Sating Bundan, Km 67, Jalan Bintulu/Miri in Bintulu (Aug 30 to Sept 12); Rh Manai, San Panjai in Lubok Antu (Aug 31 to Sept 13); and Rh Manggi, Kampung Menuang Baru in Limbang (Aug 31 to Sept 13).

SDMC did not announce any EMCO extension in any areas.

At the same time, the Committee announced the end of the EMCO in 14 areas today, namely Kampung Goebilt and Kampung Quop in Kuching; Rh Patrick Andin Uli, Sg. Serakit in Sebauh; Rh Machau, Nanga Kumpang, Engkelili in Lubok Antu; Rh Edwin Engkulau Jelani, Nanga Belungai in Tatau; Rh Paberi Magelit, Sg. Menok, Lapok, Tinjar in Beluru.

The other eight areas were in Serian, namely Kampung Krangan Jaya, Kampung Krangan Engkatak, Kampung Krangan Tekalong, Quarters at Salcra Melikin, Kampung Krangan Baru, Kampung Junggu Mawang, Kampung Krangan Trusan and Kampung Sungai Menyan Cina. — DayakDaily
