KUCHING, Jan 18: Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) members provided assistance to an elderly woman whose house was destroyed in a landslide at Kampong Sadir, Mambong recently.
PBK in a press statement said a team from the political party rushed to her assistance and handed over some necessities and essential goods.
The woman’s house which was located on a hill side was destroyed by a landslide due to heavy downpour and flash flood recently. The woman was safe as she was staying next door at her son’s house during the incident.
Meanwhile, a team of PBK members from the southern zone led by Edward Luak and Dr Stephen Sungan visited the victims of the recent floods in the Serian division.
PBK said its members distributed food items and essential goods to eight families and 26 residents in Kampung Slabi Plaman, six families with 32 residents in Kampung Slabi Entukuh and 20 families with 61 residents in Kpg Hulu and Hpg Hilir. — DayakDaily
