KUCHING, Nov 30: Four houses in Tabuan Heights were affected by a landslide incident earlier today.
According to a news report from TVS, the operations commander from the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Tabuan Jaya, Chaplin Wan, said that they received a call regarding the incident at 9.16am.
“A landslide occurred on the river bank nearby and caused the fencing of three houses in the area to collapse while one house’s kitchen area was affected,” he said in a statement today.
He said that no casualties were reported and after continuous monitoring and assessment at the location, firefighters suggested the homeowners cover the collapsed area with canvas to prevent water from flowing when it rains.
