KUCHING, Feb 5: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Women’s chief Dato Sri Fatimah Abdullah expressed confidence that the party would attract young voters following the implementation of Undi18.

According to Fatimah, in the previous 12th Sarawak Election, young Sarawakians have already shown their support to Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS).

“For example, in my constituency, the support from Channel 1 voters, which is for those aged 50 to 60, and from Channel 3, which is for the youth, were almost the same.

“This means that the support towards GPS from both senior citizens and the youth were almost the same,” she said during a press conference held after PBB Women’s Wing high council meeting at PBB headquarters here today.

Fatimah responded to a reporter’s questions regarding PBB’s capabilities of attracting young voters with the implementation of Undi18.

She added this is the result of the GPS government’s conscious efforts to engage with the youth.

On another note, Fatimah reminded all PBB Women’s branches that PBB’s 15th convention would be held on June 17 this year.

She said branches that have completed their annual general meeting (AGM) should start their branch representative meeting.

“All (AGM) and branch representative meetings must be concluded before or on May 15,” she added. ― DayakDaily
