KUCHING, Feb 11: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB), Sarawak United Peoples’ Party (SUPP), Progressive Democratic Party (PDP), and Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) are ‘The Fabulous Four’ of Gabungan Parti Sarawak, says SUPP president Dato Sri Dr Sim Kui Hian.
Dr Sim, who is also Deputy Premier of Sarawak, said ‘The Fabulous Four’ has achieved great results that are beyond expectations in both the 12th Sarawak Election (PRN12) and the last 15th General Election (GE15).
“In the 2021 Sarawak Election, (GPS won) 76 out of 81 seats, and then 23 out of 31 parliamentary seats in the general election in 2022, on our own feet,” he applauded.
Dr Sim also said that the momentum should be sustained, and preparations must begin now for the next Sarawak election in 2026.
“Because nowadays, there’s no time to just tengok saja (just look around),” he said during GPS’ GE15 appreciation dinner held tonight.
Among those also present were Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg, Sarawak Deputy Premiers Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas and Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, PRS president Datuk Joseph Salang, and PDP secretary-general Datuk Nelson Balang Ringin representing PDP president Dato Sri Tiong King Sing. — DayakDaily
