MIRI, Oct 22: Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Senadin is gearing up for the 12th Sarawak state election.

The state election is expected to take place by the end of 2020 or early 2021.

In the previous state election in 2016, the then Barisan Nasional state coalition (now Gabungan Parti Sarawak or GPS) won 72 seats, while Pakatan Harapan (PH) secured 10 seats.

“Our grassroots machinery has been in an ever ready mode for the coming state election,” disclosed PBB Senadin chairman Julaihi Mohamad.

When met today after officiating at a ceremony to launch the new SMK Merbau motorcycle parking lots as Miri deputy mayor, he said this time around, their focus would be on PBB Youth involvement.

“Our strategy for this coming state election would be more on the youth. We want their participation in our election machinery,” he revealed.

He added, PBB Senadin would ensure that the momentum is maintained during and throughout the election campaign.

“A few strategies would also be reviewed to ensure we achieve the mission,” he said.
