KUCHING, March 30: An express boat passenger went missing after falling overboard at the estuary of Sungai Paloh in Tanjung Manis, approximately 104km from Sibu on March 29.
According to the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba), an emergency call was received at 5.44pm and firefighters from the Tanjung Manis station were deployed.

The victim, Awang Indera Awang Mahmud, 45, was reported to have fallen from the express boat at around 1.20pm.
A search and rescue (SAR) operation was conducted today due to poor visibility at night. — DayakDaily
