KUCHING: Parti Islam Se-Malaysia (PAS) Sarawak Youth slams Pakatan Harapan (PH) government for not walking the talk.
In a statement today, PAS Sarawak Youth Chief Hamdan Sani said of all the things the federal ministers and even party chiefs announced during the Sarawak Day Dinner last night, none was on what PH promised it would do for Sarawak if it won the last general election.
Instead, he said, all they talked about were the success of PH leadership in the federal government, while blaming Sarawak for various issues, including criticising PAS for some reason.
āAfter hearing the speeches last night, they only spoke about the success of PH, on how open the government is now in championing freedom of speech as their struggles and to be fair to everyone.
āWhat was also awkward was that the PH leaders who spoke did not even say anything about their election manifesto and promises to Sarawak, among them to give more job and investment opportunities to Sarawakians, improve basic infrastructure in the rural areas, improve education quality and also for Sarawak to manage its own oil and gas resources,ā he said.
Hamdan also hit out on Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) President Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim for just lashing out on the stateās management in timber industry and environmental issues to which Anwar deemed as a failure.
Apart from that, Hamdan also criticised Anwar for slamming PAS although it is not even with Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS).
Hamdan urged Sarawakians to not believe in PHās empty promises which are disguised as āHarapan Baruā (New Hope) to deceive Sarawakians.Ā ā DayakDaily
