KUCHING, Nov 4: Jalan Kuching-Serian from Mile 6 to Mile 10 will be partially closed to give way for maintenance work from today until Nov 11, 2022.
In a statement today, Kuching Division Public Works Department (JKR) said the temporary closure would involve one lane from Mile 6-Mile 10 road and one lane from Mile 10-Mile 6 road. The maintenance work will be conducted from 9pm to 5am.
“Road detours/closures will take place during maintenance works at the work site to give way for heavy machinery to carry out the work.
“However, this road will be opened as soon as possible if the maintenance work can be completed early to facilitate traffic movement,” the department said.
It further advised road users to obey the safety signs around the area and cooperate with traffic personnel’s instructions to smoothen traffic movement. Road users are also advised to plan trips in the affected areas.
