KUCHING, June 19: Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) plans to hold a dinner every month till the end of the year to promote its struggles and vision across the state.
Its first official dinner will be in Sibu on July 21 to celebrate the installation of its central committee.
On August 11, another dinner will be held, this time at Thian Court, Crown Square, here.
The dinner here, to be themed ‘Defend motherland against imperialism’, aims to explain PBK’s vision to the people, said the party’s Central Committee member Ting Men Choon.
“We are expecting about 1,000 people to attend. Party members and members of the public are welcomed to the party’s inaugural dinner (in Kuching),” he told a press conference here today.
Organising treasurer Siaw Min Kin was also present.
PBK president Voon Lee Shan and his deputy, Peli Aron, are expected to speak at the event.— DayakDaily
