KUCHING, April 11: Motorists are warned to avoid Jalan Demak from Gersik roundabout to Demak roundabout, as it will be closed temporarily from tomorrow (April 12) to June 6.
According to Public Works Department Sarawak (JKR Sarawak), the temporary closure is to give way to road repairs and upgrading works which involves Jalan Raya-Kuching Inner Ring Road-Jalan Demak.
In an advisory notice, JKR Sarawak Samarahan Division has advised motorists to be extra careful when approaching and travelling along the stretch and to comply with all traffic management instructions until the road works have been completed.
JKR Sarawak will continue to update the public should there be any changes in the date, time or area involved with the road upgrading and repair works.
