KUCHING, June 16: The overtaking lane on the four-lane dual carriageway of the Pan Borneo Highway from KM98 to KM103 of Simpang Jawa in the Niah section of the Bintulu to Miri road will be open to the public today.
According to a notice issued today, the Public Work Department (JKR) Sarawak advised road users to drive carefully on the route in question and to comply with all traffic management as the final phase of the road is also in the final phase of construction.
The notice also revealed that outstanding work and defect inspection will also be carried out until June 30 along the Miri to Bintulu routes.
The road inspection work would be carried out in the slow lane, and road users are advised to follow the speed limit along the work area.
The contractor will inform the public if there is any change in the date or area involved with the works. Road users are advised to plan their journey in the affected areas.
